East Grinstead & District Lions Club
Over 50 Years of Service
The Club has been serving the people of East Grinstead and District from 1968 to 2019.
The Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the largest service club organisation in the world, with more than 1.3 million members, serving their communities in 205 countries. The Lions Club year runs from 1st July to 30th June. The purposes and ethics for our organisation can be read on the following pages.
We are very active in and around East Grinstead. For example in the year 2017/2018 we donated over £36,000 to local and international charities, including disaster funds in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Our members, men and women from East Grinstead and surrounding villages, also gave over 3800 hours of voluntary service. If you think you can help, share our outlook on life and would like to have some fun at our many social get togethers then come and join us. One of our members, Don James has achieved 50 years of service with the club. Don is shown below receiving his certificate from our District Governor.
